Why Should I Use HDMI Cables?

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

Today, more and more people are purchasing new high definition televisions. Usually they will also want to hook up some sort of component with the new television to allow them to do other things. These components could include DVD players, Blue Ray Players, game consoles and other devices. In order to do this, you will also have to purchase some sort of cable to connect the two devices. When making this decision, a good choice would be to opt for HDMI cables. These are fast becoming the new standard for connecting any type of audio or video device. There are many reasons why you should purchase HDMI cables.

HDMI cables rely on digital signals to transmit. This does not require any encoding and decoding when the signal is sent. As a result, none of the quality is lost through transmission. You can count on both audio and video that is crisp, clear and free of distortions. HDMI is able to transmit both audio and video signals which are another one of its benefits. In the past, to do this one had to have several cables. This is no more as one single cable can do it all! In the long run this save space as well as make installation a breeze. Additionally, you no longer need to worry about that mess of cables behind your television.
When you choose hdmi cable, you know that you are getting the new standard cable for these kinds of connections. This has helped to streamline the industry making it much easier to obtain the necessary cable. This move is similar to what the computer industry has done by making USB a universal connection for adding on devices.

Another plus with HDMI technology is that the industry is continuing to improve upon its product. In the past, some of these previous connection methods didn’t seek to upgrade their product which in part led to their decline. HDMI technology has already been released in three different versions with a fourth to soon be released. Each released version continues to support even more devices that can be added on.

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Plenty of people don’t get that involved with phone accessories, especially since the dawn of the smart phone. Mobile phones do more now than they ever have but there are still some functions that smart phones are unable to perform and this is the reason that phone accessories are still big business.

One of the areas where accessories are extremely important is in motoring. It is illegal, not to mention incredibly unsafe, to drive whilst speaking on your mobile phone with the phone in your hand. If you do so your concentration is not fully on the road and you therefore are risking an accident. There are plenty of gadgets out there that will allow you to perform the functions your phone offers hands free, and just like the phones themselves, these accessories are performing more and more tasks. One of the best car kits out at the moment is the Bury Crystal Car Kit. This piece of hardware does not only allow you to make calls, it is far more advanced than that. You will need a professional to install it but it really is a fantastic piece of kit.

To start the Crystal Kit all you need to do is turn on your engine. The device, installed on your dashboard, will turn straight on. If you pair your phones to the device when it is first installed, you will not have to go through the annoying habit of connecting your phone every time you drive. You will be prompted to auto connect when you turn your engine on instead. You can do this with up to 10 phones which can be extremely useful if you are not the sole user of your car..

One of the best features on this set up is the Text to Voice, something that all kits of this kind will have in the future. It basically reads you your message should you wish it to so you don’t have to pull over to send a text. There are a few issues, such as it not telling you who the text is from but it surely shows where we are heading in terms of in car mobile technology.
